I'm sure the radiologist who had to tell me that I had cancer and that it had already metastasized was having as guard a time with it as I was. But what I remember was the kindness and concern he showed when he told me. It made a world of difference.Lisa https://www.blogger.com/profile/09324961653370110887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245783834297902042.post-67045603063891954132013-10-07T08:25:21.041-04:002013-10-07T08:25:21.041-04:00Thanks for the reminder. He didn't want to dwell on the awful realities, but rather wanted to make people smile. He wasn't in denial, just choosing to control how he let his failing body affect his life and the lives of those around him. It was one of the best lessons he ever taught me, but I'm not sure I'm that strong. and
I'm sorry for your patient's prognosis, but thankful you shared him with us. I'm going to choose joy today.
xoMelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10114884092474969555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245783834297902042.post-39072452177216741962013-10-07T07:40:13.754-04:002013-10-07T07:40:13.754-04:00So how do you tell a person like that that he prob...So how do you tell a person like that that he probably has pancreatic cancer? How??? I could not do your job, and I'm not blowing smoke here. There's a reason I'm a scientist and not a doctor, and having to give bad news to good people is right up there on the list of why. :(Mama Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02486091328948046021noreply@blogger.com
